We are 4 friends who not only enjoy each other's company but realize how important positive social interactions affect a young person's development. Founded in 2019, the story of drinkboet goes a little bit back in origin.  As a birthday gift, one of our founders, Kelly, gave another one of our founders, Alex, the first drinkboet book!


A compilation of more than 20 games intended to start a party! And start a party it did! The original book became a focal point of the party’s across the country and fuelled many a night, not to mention the fun had was repeated by those able to remember the lessons far and wide creating a community around a book!


Seeing the joy one book brought, Kelly decided to digitise it and the current version is available in 6 locations! 


After a pandemic full of isolation, drinkboet wants to continue to grow and nurture a community of gathering and socialising with the creation of Drinkboet Productions to continue to grow that joy and enable creatives to bring others that same feeling. 



Purpose 

Drinkboet aims to establish a podcast "family" and foster a sense of community among its listeners. Leveraging the podcast's unique content and compelling "characters," the brand seeks to create a platform that connects up-and-coming creatives with its audience, broadening its reach and promoting social engagement.


Through its content and partnerships, Drinkboet aims to give people a common positive identifier in South Africa, reinforcing a sense of community and shared values. By facilitating collaborations between emerging creatives and its listeners, the brand seeks to provide opportunities for growth and creativity while building a dynamic and supportive community around the podcast. Ultimately, Drinkboet's purpose is to create compelling content that inspires, entertains, and unites people around a shared passion for creativity and positive social engagement.
